Food from Japanese cities with a regular import procedure again

Raw materials and food products from 11 Japanese cities will no longer be submitted to health control related to the radioactivity level. Resolution RDC 59/2012 of the Brazilian Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) was published on Friday, 7 December, and narrows this type of control only for raw materials and food products manufactured and/ or packed in Fukushima city, Japan.

The 7th Summit of Heads of Medicines Regulatory Agencies will be held in Manaus, Amazonas State, on 26-29 November. The event will be organized by the Brazilian Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) and will be supported by the Amazonas State government.

Countries will discuss drug safety

The World Health Organization (WHO) promotes the 35th International Drug Monitoring Programme annual meeting in Brasília, Brazil. The program’s objective is to strengthen pharmacovigilance actions in the world and to ensure the marketing of safe and effective drugs. The event will be supported by the Brazilian Health Surveillance Agency – Anvisa, and will be opened next Monday, 12 November, at 9am at Brasil 21 Event Center.
